Rain lives with our friends in California and below is the beautiful letter we received on Christmas day 2012 - what a wonderful present:

Hi Susan,

Well it is Christmas Day and we wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season.

I took this picture today right before we left for our trail ride. We went down to river crossed several times, went up and down hills, as well as all over the streets of town. Over two and a half hours later, both horses were happy to be back in their stalls. She has gotten used to our Town pretty well.

Look closely, you will see she is body-shaved for the winter so she can go out for rides and not take hours to dry. She has had to learn to wear a blanket at night--not a problem however to teach her to slip it on at night and take it off in the morning.

I have managed to sneak a few rides on her but not many because my husband does like riding her.

Well I guess I better get started on making Christmas dinner. Take care and happy holidays.

Barbara, Ray and Rain(aka "Sundance"--as my husband likes to call her)

Rain is a beautiful MFT Homozygous mare that will go anywhere and do anything - she will go out alone or in a group without fail!
